The mediating role of caring dimensions in the relationship between sexual satisfaction and attachment styles with women's sexuality

Abstract :

The aim of the present study was to investigate the mediating role of caring dimensions in the relationship between sexual satisfaction and attachment styles with women's sexuality. The method of the current research was correlational. The sample under investigation was 200 married women who referred to cultural centers in Isfahan city, who were selected using convenience sampling method. The research participants completed the Kahns and Shaver (1994) caregiving scale, the Collins and Reed (1990) adult attachment style questionnaire, the Halbert (1992) sexual desire questionnaire, and the Hudson (1981) sexual satisfaction questionnaire. The data were analyzed using Pearson's correlation coefficient, multivariate regression and path analysis using SPSS22 and AMOS software. The results showed that caring dimensions play a mediating role in the relationship between sexual satisfaction and attachment styles with women's sexuality. Also, the results showed that the model had good fit (P<0.01).
