Modeling of Relationship between Brain-Behavioral Systems with the intensity of conflict of women on the verge of divorce with the moderating role of executive functions (Response inhibition and cognitive regulation of emotion)

Abstract :
The present study aimed to determine the relationship between behavioral brain systems and the intensity of marital conflict of women on the verge of divorce with the moderating role of the executive functions of response inhibition and cognitive emotion regulation in 1401-1402. The statistical population of the present study includes women living in Tehran city who went to the family courts in 1402 for the purpose of separation. The descriptive research method was correlation type and the statistical method of structural equation modeling. in which a sample of 250 people was selected using available sampling method. The participants in the research completed the Marital Conflict Questionnaire Gary Wilson's Personality Questionnaire, Garnefski Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire, and the Emotional Extroversion Test in person. The results of the correlation matrix showed that the relationship between behavioral inhibition and marital conflict is negative and significant. Behavioral inhibition also has a negative and significant relationship with positive cognitive regulation. The negative coefficient means that with the increase in the components of behavioral brain systems, marital conflict and positive cognitive regulation decrease and vice versa.
